We receive direction for ownership changes from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation. They will notify us within 30 days of the sale date if there is a change to the names on title. Your lawyer should also forward us a copy of your Transfer so we can ensure our records are updated promptly.

It is important to note, if you are on the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan, we require written notice from you or your lawyer to cancel your plan, or it will continue indefinitely until notice is received.

The names on our tax bills reflect the exact names as they are registered on title. You will need to contact a lawyer to change the names on title in order for us to update the names on your tax bill.

The format of our tax bills only allows for two names to be printed on the bill. The order of the names on the tax bills reflects the order they were registered on title and cannot be changed in our system. If you require documentation proving ownership, please reference the legal property deed or you can request a letter from us stating the names on title.

Unfortunately, our Pre-Authorized Payment Plan is only available to those with no outstanding taxes. If you need to make arrangements for outstanding taxes or have received notice you are in tax sale position, please contact our Treasurer.

The tax rates for all properties within the Township are the same as others in the same tax class. The amount you pay is determined by multiplying our tax rate by the assessed value as determined by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation. If you would like to contest your properties tax class or assessed value, you would need to contact MPAC.

We will require time to properly generate your request.

Your mortgage company is responsible for notifying us to add their interest to your property, so we know to send them your tax amounts at billing time. If they have not notified us, we do not know to forward your information to them. Please have your mortgage company reach out to us via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to add their interest and give them the updated amount due. Any interest or penalty incurred due to the lack of notification on your financial institutions part will need to be resolved with them. We cannot reverse any penalty because of this error.
